Family Groups Unveil "Thank You" Banner for Rescue\Construction Workers:

9-11 Family Groups will gather at the corner of the WTC site (Greenwich and Vesey Streets) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2002, to hear 9-11 Widows' and Victims' Families Founder Marian Fontana and Give Your Voice Member Marie Granieri deliver a public thank you message and to show their support for recovery workers who have been working tirelessly at the site since September 11. Workers will pause for the delivery of the message.

The message comes on the heels of the hanging of a 25x50 foot banner earlier this week. The banner is white with red and blue lettering and features red, white and blue hearts.

The content reads: "Thank you for never giving up. We will never forget them. We will never forget you. Love the WTC Families. We love NY."

According to Granieri, The Pall Corporation of Roslyn, NY funded the entire cost of the banner so that family members could have the opportunity to thank the workers in a highly visible way.
