OSHA Contact Deadline 3-11\Concerns regarding the evacuation procedures at the WTC:
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is encouraging everyone to send questions and concerns regarding the emergency evacuation procedures that were in place at the WTC on September 11th and before.
There is a deadline of March 11 (6 months from date of incident) to file any concerns.
All that is necessary is to send him an email with your concerns/comments. This does not need to be formal. They will take the emails and move forward from there.
Mr. Robert Stewart of OSHA encourages everyone to continue to submit their
statements and to ask why OSHA is not issuing fine. The contact information for Mr. Stewart is:
Email: stewart-robert@dol.gov
Phone: 212-337-2635 or 212-337-2626

The statements should include any concerns you have regarding the emergency evacuation procedures at the WTC. Things that were told to you by the decedent, things that you have heard from survivors, things you may have experienced yourself at the WTC. Examples:
1. Lack of "complete evacuation" drills of the towers
2. Non-mandatory fire/evacuation drills
3. Not knowing where the stairs were
4. Not knowing stairwells ended at sky lobby
5. Locked fire doors
6. Viable access to roof, etc.
Please send your questions, comments and concerns to Mr. Stewart today. He is VERY interested in getting this information to ensure that guidelines for future procedures are amended to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
Time is of the essence ... the deadline is March 11, 2002
