DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR OSHA COMPLAINTS
The March 11, 2002 deadline for Families to file official OSHA complaints has been lifted, according to OSHA spokesperson, Bob Stewart.
ALL FAMILY MEMBERS WITH THE NUMEROUS EVACUATION PROBLEMS (INCLUDING DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, LOCKED DOORS, OR ANY OTHER FACTORS WHICH YOU BELIEVE MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR LOVED ONES’ DEATH) SHOULD SEND A LETTER OF COMPLAINT ASAP TO:
Mr. Bob Stewart
OSHA Compliance Officer
201 Varick Street, Room 646
New York, NY 10014
Tel: 212-337-2636
NOTE: According to a 3/12/02 article in Newsday, “according to an OSHA spokesman, no fines or violations will be issued. That sets it apart from a typical OSHA investigation, which often results in fines and even criminal charges.”
(Families may wish to call or write Mr. Stewart to inquire why OSHA policy is not being adhered to in this situation.)
