Salvation Army Family Volunteers at Ground Zero:

The Salvation Army, WTC Command Center, 120 West 14th Street, New York, NY has offered to any of our "Families" who may interested in volunteering at Ground Zero the opportunity of doing so before any local or out-of-state volunteers are scheduled. The facility is a 24-hour/7 day operation. The shift hours of operation are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. If you are interested, please call Rachael Gulley, Volunteer Coordinator at 212-337-7461 or email at Volunteers_WTC@hotmail.com and you will receive further instructions on obtaining necessary credentials and orientation. Please remember to identify yourself as a WTC Victim Family Member.
We are aware of several Family members who have been volunteering on a regular basis and have found the experience to be somewhat healing and cathartic.
