Tears to Heaven Foundation, Sounds of Scilence Project:

We must never forget what happened to our fellow Americans on September 11. In an effort to always remember, we are compiling a collection of stories for a book called Sounds of Silence. All proceeds from the book will go to the victims’ families. We are looking for a variety of stories to share with the world, including:

  • Letters to the victims who perished (Also known as a "grief letter")

  • Stories of survival

  • Stories of heroism

  • Letters of support

We invite you to contribute a letter for Sounds of Silence. Simply click on the appropriate link on the left side of your screen. Please submit your letter by April 15, 2002.

In therapy, a "grief letter" is one of the best methods to begin the healing process. By telling your loved ones what you wish you could have said to them before they disappeared, you can vocalize your grief and begin the healing process. It is our goal to memorialize the people who perished.  WE MUST NEVER FORGET!
